Adopt a healthy eating style First things first – Adopting a sustainable, healthy way of eating is an easy way to lower your total caloric intake and promote weight loss! Focus on adding fresh vegetables and fruits at every meal; using whole grain products over refined foods which often contain added sugars; choosing low-fat dairy products, lean meats, fish, and poultry over high-fat fried foods, and including healthy fats such as olive oil, avocados, and nuts in moderation. 2. Bring Out Your Inner Chef Research findings suggest that a key to weight loss success is with the use of home-cooked meals. When you cook at home, you’re more likely to stick to your diet plan and opt for lower-calorie foods. Not only will you lose weight and feel better, but you can experiment with different ingredients, save money, and feel accomplished as you learn how to cook new, healthy recipes. 3. Set Attainable Goals and Celebrate Milestones When you have a lot of weight to lose, it can feel overwhelming.
