Sleep disruptions are challenging for both patients and caregivers. During this session, we will review the current understanding of sleep/wake disruptions in PSP, CBD and MSA; we will hear about an on-going clinical sleep trial which grew from our observational studies; and we will briefly touch base on sleep hygiene factors. Dr. Christine M. Walsh, is an Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Francisco. She received her BA degree in physiology from Trinity College Dublin, University of Dublin in Ireland; and received her PhD from the department of Neuroscience at the University of Michigan. In 2011 Dr. Walsh joined the UCSF Memory and Aging Center where she has been studying sleep and rest-activity rhythms in both healthy older adults and in individuals with neurodegenerative diseases, particularly 4R tauopathies.
