The Difference between THC, CBD, and CBG | What is THC vs CBG vs CBD Desc: Cannabis, commonly known as hemp or marijuana, has been used by humans for thousands of years. However, curiosity in this plant — and the cannabinoids found inside it — has grown recently. And with that, the terms CBD, THC, and CBG emerge now and then. So what is the difference between CBD, THC, and CBG? To know that, keep watching! But before that, make sure to like and subscribe to the channel. Let's dig into the video! The critical distinction between CBD and THC is that, while THC may get you high, CBD does not. The FDA recently authorized a pharmaceutical-grade CBD to treat severe seizures in children, and the majority of research on CBD has been focused on reducing seizures. However, some human study suggests CBD may be suitable for anxiety and stress and might have anti-cancer qualities. CBG, on the other side, is non-psychoactive in the same way as CBD is. There is very little study on the effects of CBG on people, while interest is developing since non-psychoactive cannabinoids are expected to have a wide range of medicinal applications. CBG was detected for the first time in Israel in 1964. Yehiel Gaoni and Raphael Mechoulam, cannabis researchers, had just extracted CBG, THC, and CBD from the marijuana plants. It may not have grasped the significance of the situation at the time. But, this finding paved the way for the current knowledge of the plant. Now, if we look at CBD, we know that Cannabidivarin is a homolog of CBD, which means that their structures are similar. Cannabidivarin, like CBD, has seven double bond isomers and thirty stereoisomers. Two methylene bridges have reduced a side chain. Another thing cannabidivarin and CBD have in common because they're both non-psychoactive. As a result, people who are anxious and sensitive to high doses of THC can still get some of the advantages without the panic-inducing high. CBD and THC both work by releasing neurotransmitters through receptors in the brain. They have an impact on consumers’ pain, emotion, sleep, and memory. Our bodies have two kinds of cannabinoid receptors. THC binds to brain receptors that control sensation, emotions, and other feelings. Because of this, THC can make you feel cheerful and provide you with a "high." On the contrary, CBD does not make you feel high. Instead, it's thought to interact with other regions of the body linked to happy feelings. Before purchasing CBD or THC products, be sure you know the rules in your state.
