As you can see at the beginning of this video, my weight at one time had climbed to 330+ pounds. I developed a basic "theory" for weight loss, which not only got my weight down to sub-200 pounds at one time, but I've managed to keep it off consistently ever since. The theory is simple. Your body has set up two barriers of defense for your fat stores. Here is how it works- Level 1- When you body is looking for fuel, the first place it checks is your stomach for sugar/carbs. If there is sugar/carbs in your stomach, it stops there and never goes on to the second barrier. Level 2- If there is not enough sugar/carb in your stomach, your body will begin to consume your muscles for fuel. The way to combat this, is by eating enough protein to repair your muscles after your body digests them for fuel. If you don't eat enough protein and your body reaches this level, significant muscle loss occur. Level 3 - THE FAT!!! If you have cut back on sugar/carbs enough to get to level 2, and you're eating enough protein to repair the damage done when your body eats your muscle tissue, you're body will begin to consume the fat on your body as fuel. So the trick to weight loss is simple, cut back on sugars/carbs so that your body begins to eat your muscles for fuel, eat enough protein so that your body can repair the muscles that were consumed, and your body will begin to consume your fat stores for energy.
