Here are my tips to getting your best night sleep: 1. Create a sleep sanctuary - Invest in a great mattress, sheets & pillow. 2. Set the temperature to 60-67 degrees Fahrenheit. 3. Power down all devices 2 hours before bed. 4. Eat melatonin-rich foods a few hours before sleep. 5. Limit alcohol and caffeine consumption. 6. Drink herbal teas to promote sleep (I love Sleepy Time Tea). 7. Take 1-3 mg of melatonin 1-2 hours before bedtime. 8. Use red light bulbs in your bedroom while getting ready for bed. 9. Listen to pink noise to promote relaxation. 10. Listen to a podcast. This is my new trick when my head is spinning. It’s a great way to get out of your own head, yet leave all the lights off.
