The idea that "squats increase testosterone" or "deadlifts increase testosterone" has been a commonly held belief in the bodybuilding community for many years. You may have heard the idea that "squats build your biceps" since they'll supposedly maximize overall testosterone and growth hormone levels in the body. But is there any truth to this? While it is technically true that deadlifts and squats boost testosterone, the increases that you experience will only be short, temporary spikes that return back to baseline fairly quickly. In order to increase your overall levels of muscle growth throughout your entire body, testosterone levels need to be increased by a fairly large margin and sustained over time. For that reason, the testosterone boosting effects of squats and deadlifts are highly unlikely to provide any additional muscle building benefit from a hormonal perspective. There have actually been quite a few studies that have examined the "squats and testosterone" issue (links above), and generally there is no significant effect seen at all, or only very minor and weak correlations are found. So, if you're someone who can't or doesn't want to perform squats and/or deadlifts for whatever reason, you're likely not missing out on anything from a hormonal perspective. Or, if you are someone who performs them, don't think that including them more often or with higher volume is going to somehow "supercharge" your testosterone levels. Your best bet is to just get yourself onto the most well structured overall muscle building program that you can, train hard, focus on progressive overload, and let the hormonal aspect take care of itself. It's true that squats increase testosterone levels and that deadlifts increase testosterone as well (just as all forms of intense resistance training do), but not to a high enough degree that it has any actionable application to your overall bodybuilding program. #one a day gummy #woody show penis enlargement #vigor max male enhancement
