After a day of jury deliberations, a verdict was announced in the case against Ed Buck. The former Democratic donor was found guilty on all felony counts relating to the drug-induced deaths of two gay African American men, 26-year-old Gemmel Moore and 55-year-old Timothy Dean. The verdict came on Moore’s four-year anniversary of his death. He was charged with nine counts, including the distribution of controlled substances resulting in death. Buck was accused of providing the men with crystal meth, that would lead to their overdose at his residence. Jody Armour, professor of law at the University of Southern California, joins Yodit Tewolde on “Making the Case” via phone, to talk about the verdict and case.
