Hi, my name is Hannah and I’m the director of communications here at Joy Organics. If you’re new to CBD, the lingo might be confusing, but no worries. I’m here to clarify some things. CBD usually comes in three different types: full spectrum, broad spectrum, and CBD isolate. Full spectrum CBD may have a variety of beneficial compounds found in the hemp plant, including terpenes, minor cannabinoids, and some (less than 0.3%) THC. Broad spectrum CBD may also have a variety of beneficial compounds found in the hemp plant but no detectable (or 0.0%) THC. CBD Isolate contains, well as you might expect, only CBD. People often take full or broad spectrum CBD because of something called the entourage effect, which basically means enhanced benefits created by the combination of phytonutrients. CBD isolate is believed to be less effective for this reason, but may provide a less hempy taste. If you’re looking for no detectable THC, you can choose either isolate or broad spectrum, but if you’re looking for enhanced results, we recommend a broad spectrum. I hope this clears things up! If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. We have CBD educators standing by, ready to help. Questions?
