In this episode of the Hemp Glossary by Brown's CBD, we dive into a less explored but very important cannabinoid - CBG, or Cannabigerol. Often referred to as the 'Mother of all Cannabinoids', we discuss what role CBG plays in the Cannabis plant and why it's often difficult and expensive to extract. -- -- -- Visit and explore the UK's finest quality, carefully sourced and tested CBD products. If you have any concerns about using CBD or other cannabinoid products, please consult your doctor or healthcare professional. -- -- -- CBG, or Cannabigerol, is considered the 'mother of all cannabinoids'. This is because Cannabis plants produce Cannabigerolic acid (CBGa), which is broken down by enzymes in the plant into CBDa, THCa and CBCa. When exposed to heat or ultraviolet light, these compounds break down into the well known cannabinoids CBD, THC and other minor cannabinoids. Different strains of Cannabis break down CBGa into different ratios of CBDa and THCa and changes in environment during growth of the plant can result in higher or lower concentrations of the compounds across different strains and individual plants. CBG typically makes up only 1% of a cannabis plant, so is often difficult and expensive to extract. Cultivators have experimented with cross breeding to create strains with higher levels of CBG, and more can be extracted if timed correctly during the budding stage of the plants growth. -- -- -- To help support the channel: Follow us on Instagram! - Like or page on Facebook! - Follow us on Twitter! - Read more on our blog at -- -- -- Music: Ticker - Silent Partner #highest rated cbd gummies #cbd gummies safe for work #cbd gummy analysis
