Shito is a delicious hot pepper sauce indigenous to Ghanaians and it is prepared with dried shrimps, dried herrings, dry pepper, ginger and some natural spices with seasoning powder too. It is used in similar ways as chilli sauce, ketchup and side dip or sauces. Traditionally it is eaten with Kenkey, Banku, waakye, Kwenkwen, rice etc. Because of the rich taste and intense flavours , scooping just a little goes a long way to enhance the food.
